Update: 50 Cent’s Manager Denies Repping Former Prostitute

Reports surfaced last week via The New York Post that 50 Cent’s manager, Chris Lighty, would be handling the singing career of former hooker Ashley Dupre.

Dupre was the woman at the center of the prostitution scandal that lead to the resignation of former New York Mayor Eliot Spitzer. The mayor used to shell $1,000-an-hour to get serviced by Dupre and other girls.

Lighty and his Violator management released a statement today (December 2) denying the reports saying: “Despite media reports, Chris Lighty and Violator Management do not represent Ashley Dupre. Lighty helped negotiate an interview for Dupre with Diane Sawyer, and has no further involvement in Dupre’s career.”

Spitzer Escort Ashley Dupree interview on 20/20: Its not my fault.

Ashley Dupree, the escort or prostitute that bought down Elliot Spitzer was interviewed on 20/20 by Diane Sawyer on ABC News.

Its an interesting story about how an honour student, turns to the escort business to make money.  Its the usual hard luck story, father left at 3, brotherran away and arrested for dealing, fell in with the wrong crowd.  Ashley Dupree comes across very sympatheticly. If you ever wondered why how someone gets caught up as an escort she told it convincingly.

Diane Sawyer tried to make her say that she was a prostitute, but she would only say sh was an “escort”. W When asked what the difference was she said time spent.  Apparently she spent lots of time “talking”.  Uhuh. Smart girl though, the word prostitute never escaped her lips.

On legal advice she did not answer any detailed questions about the Spitzer affair, but she did say she didn’t know who he was when she met him.

Her reaction to the huge controversy which ended Governor Elliot Spitzer’s career mainly revolved around her feelings over Spitzer’s wife.   She says she feels nothing towards Spitzer either positive or negative and that she is not at fault for bringing Spitzer down. “if it wasn’t me it would have been somebody else,” she said. “Its not my fault”.

She also said she wants out of the life she had and has turned down both a reality TV series and a million dollar offer from Hustler – Spitzer and prostitution aside, maybe she does have some class.  It will be interesting to see how she pulls her life together, as this reputation is going to follow her around.

NEW YORK — The prostitute at the centre of the scandal that brought down former New York governor Eliot Spitzer has apologized to his wife.

Ashley Alexandra Dupre tells People magazine that the FBI informed her in early March that it was investigating one of her clients. A few days later, she found out which client when she recognized Spitzer on TV — resigning.

That was March 12, after revelations Spitzer had used Emperors Club VIP, where Dupre worked.

She says she was stricken by the pained expression on Silda Wall Spitzer’s face.

“I try not to revisit that place too often, but when I think about his speech, I think of her face, her eyes, the hurt,” Dupre said.

Her message to Silda Wall Spitzer: “I’m sorry for your pain.”

Dupre, 23, said Spitzer was polite and businesslike when they met. “Some guys, they want to have conversations and really get to know each other. With him, it clearly was not like that,” she said. “It was more of a transaction. Strictly business.”

Dupre, who was known then as Kristen, said she practiced safe sex with all her clients, including Spitzer. On her lawyer’s advice, she would not elaborate on their liaison, or say whether Spitzer visited her more than once. She did say that he dressed casually and she did not see his security detail. These advertisements, which come with photos a family newspaper won’t print, are a small sample of what can be found in the “erotic services” section of Craigslist in Las Vegas — an online classified ads Web site that, aside from helping people find roommates or sell old lawn mowers, has become one of the most popular ways for Clark County escorts to peddle their wares to the electronic masses. It’s an Internet buffet of costly companionship, but perhaps not for long.

Just over two weeks ago, Craigslist began charging a fee to advertise on the site’s “erotic services” section. The fee is small — $5 — but the consequences are huge. Continued…

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Who is Sallie Saxon? The simple answer is that she is a criminal. But nothing was simple in the life of this very complicated woman.

“Your whole life is a lie. Everything is a lie,” Saxon said in an exclusive interview with NewsChannel 36.

On Aug. 27, the life that this south Charlotte mom knew changed forever.

“I made a lot of money, but I’m going to be honest with you, it’s not worth the money to have lived like that,” Saxon said.

Saxon was sent to federal prison for two years for running “Hush Hush,” the largest Internet-based prostitution ring in America.

“If I provided the list then it’s got the names of high profile people throughout the United States,” Saxon said.

Saxon’s business was high-end — wealthy men, expensive dinners, flowers and gifts. But her start more than 20 years ago was nothing like that. There was precious little glamour and a lot of danger when she worked as a call girl.

Her first husband was sent to Vietnam. When he returned from the war, Saxon said he had psychological issues and physically abused her and her son.

She was desperate when a prominent Charlotte businessman and his group of friends made her an indecent proposal.

“The food was getting low. It really was and they knew that I was in that situation,” Saxon said.

With just $25 to her name and two kids to support, she felt she had no choice but to sell her body. Continued…

Businessman sentenced in ‘HushHush’ prostitution case

Charlotte businessman James Smith was sentenced Wednesday to 18 months probation for hiring prostitutes and writing them off as advertising expenses on his corporate income taxes.

Smith, owner of construction company Red Clay Aggregate, had pleaded guilty in August to tax fraud. He’d faced up to three years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. Nine of the 18 months probation are to be spent in home confinement. He declined comment Wednesday through his attorney.

Smith was the second john to plead guilty in the federal government’s investigation into “HushHush,” a lucrative prostitution ring in Charlotte. Continued…

NATALIE McLennan – the $2,000-an- hour call girl who worked for the notorious New York Confidential escort service – blew the whistle on former Gov. Spitzer’s hooker, Ashley Dupre, in a bid to save her own skin as authorities mulled prostitution charges against her, a mysterious new Web site claims.

The site, which we’re not going to name, says it obtained diaries, little black books, notes and explicit nude photos of “Natalia” (McLennan’s hooker name) that were left in a storage space. For $5.99, anyone can log on and view the materials.

The Web site, whose owner is not identified, claims McLennan – who made the cover of New York magazine in 2005 as “NY’s No. 1 escort” – began recording phone conversations with a hooker named “Victoria,” who was actually Dupre, at the behest of authorities investigating the hooker ring. Continued…

(LifeWire) — Eight years ago, Natalie McLennan, a leggy brunette, moved to New York City from Montreal to pursue an acting career. At a cocktail party, she met Jason Itzler, the self-proclaimed “‘king of all pimps” and owner of the now-defunct New York Confidential escort agency. When Itzler suggested McLennan, then 28, work for him, she decided “dating” guys beat waiting tables while she continued looking for acting gigs.

By 2004, McLennan was earning around $2,000 an hour, sometimes more, seeing “two to three clients a day for at least two to three hours each.”

When it came to catering to the needs of her well-heeled customers, “I was always on call.”

Natalie — known as Natalia — had hit it big; in July 2005, she was profiled for a New York magazine cover story. Three months after the interview hit the newsstands, the agency was shut down. McLennan was arrested for prostitution, spending 26 days in jail.

Thirty-year-old “Celeste,” who didn’t want her real name used, says she started turning tricks in Minnesota at 15. For her, prostitution was a job, not a path to a celebrity lifestyle. In a good year, the young wife and mother saw up to four clients a day, men she describes as “just guys, like the ones you see at the supermarket or fixing something in your house” and earned up to $300 for 30 minutes of her services. She found her customers through online personals, chat rooms and telephone talk lines for singles.

Intending to help police shut down illegal sex-for-hire ads, Washington state Attorney General Rob McKenna and his counterparts in 39 states announced an agreement Thursday with Craigslist.com in which the company adopted new policies.

Under the agreement, the free classified ad site will require users who post ads under “erotic services” to provide a working phone number and pay a fee using a valid credit card. The information will be provided to police if the company is served with a subpoena.

The site is used by more than 40 million people each month to shop, sell or rent apartments, services and other goods, according to the company. But police say it’s increasingly used as a medium for pimps and prostitutes to reach clients, and in some cases, to sell the services of women or girls who were forced into prostitution.

“I think these steps will effectively deter a good deal of the illegal activity in the personal services section of Craigslist,” McKenna said. “First of all, a lot of these individuals don’t want their real identities revealed. Plus, it provides a trail for law enforcement to follow if they decide to offer illegal services, anyway.”

Earlier this year, police and federal agents in Lynnwood arrested 15 people, including women and girls, who advertised escort services on Craigslist. One of two teenage girls arrested was an illegal immigrant, and police were investigating whether human trafficking played a role. Continued…

Former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer is dodging prosecution in the much heralded sex scandal with call girl Ashey Dupre that ruined his political career and forced him to resign from office in disgrace.

U.S. Attorney Michael Garcia said today (Nov. 6) there was no evidence Spitzer used public money to pay for his liaisons with Dupre, which reportedly cost up to $4,800 an hour. Dupre also has escaped charges, but those who ran the prostitution ring weren’t so lucky.

Garcia said Spitzer’s public humiliation and the loss of his political career were punishment enough. The former governor comes from a wealthy New York family and he has returned to work in the family real estate business. His wife is still by his side.

“We have concluded that the public interest would not be further advanced by filing criminal charges in this matter,” Garcia said.

The news removes a huge legal cloud surrounding Spitzer, who was forced from office in March after it was revealed that he paid for high-priced call girls, according to the AP. A conviction would have likely cost Spitzer his license to practice law, although he could face sanctions for inappropriate behavior by the state bar association.

While the move effectively ends the case for Spitzer, the man accused of running the escort service that hooked (no pun intended) up Ashley with the former New York governor and led to one of the biggest sex scandals in New York History was forced to plead guilty in court. Others involved in the escort service have also pleaded guilty to various charges. Continued…
